@quid By clicking either on "bookmark a conversation" (in the transcript) or "create new bookmark" when in the room. Then you mark the beginning and the end of the conversation and enter the title.
It is mentioned in help chat.stackexchange.com/faq#permalink - although not in detail.
I will add also this:

Q: Is it possible to bookmark a conversation in chat, which has messages in two different days?

MartinI know that there is 400 messages limit for a conversation. But in rooms with low usage it is possible that an interesting conversation spans more than one day. Is it somehow possible to bookmark a conversation which starts one days and ends the second day? If not, could something like this be ...

Mainly because there are pictures. They are also in a few other meta questions: google.com/…
@quid I honestly forgot that this was one of his names. (He had many of them.)
Still, the only answer I see there is by Mad Scientist. IIRC "the user with many names" quit meta.SE. But only the posts with negative score are deleted in such cases, or do I remember it wrong?
@quid Yes, I have noticed that. I guess that editing the question with some minor change would probably cause software to recheck linked questions. But I do not want to do it - since then I would not have an example where it does not work as expected.
I have posted in on meta tagged , perhaps somebody will be able to say something.
IIRC SE employees check per-site-metas for bug-related questions too. (Perhaps also feature-requests?)
At least on meta.math.SE I have often seen diamonds interact with questions tagged (bug). (That's the meta which I visit the most, so I had better possibility to notice it there.)

@MartinSleziak thanks. I always had looked at the wrong place, namely at the individual messages.
And the existence of the chat FAQ also escaped me until now.
re the deleted answer. IIRC the answer was technically comment. Might have been a self-deleted.
Yes, usually only neg score gets auto deleted with the user. But this including accepted answers.
Yes, employees also visit meta.MO (and all the other metas).
Thanks again for the info re conversation, I'll try it out some tie soon.
Now our percentages will be still more dominant :-)
See you!
