John Rennie
It's one of the books all UK school children study.
Charles Dickens' books are famous in the UK.
Jack Rod
funny I got the chance to read it in last week amazing novel
John Rennie
Dickens's books are always very readable. He creates great characters and portrays them them in a way that makes them likeable (or hateable if they are bad guys!).

do u have any other recommendation
like Dickens
John Rennie
We also studied Great Expectations, and I remember enjoying that.
Pretty much anything by Dickens is good.
Jack Rod
Cool
John Rennie
But I don't usually read anything except science fiction, so I'm not the best person to ask about books.
Jack Rod
Sir who were the leading critics or writers during your school days ?
John Rennie
I don't know. In the science fiction world it was Isaac Asimov, Arthur C. Clarke, Robert Heinlein and Ray Bradbury. But that's only science fiction.
