Test`escape

test\`escape\
@user202729 Nope, doesn't work.
I posted literally `Test\`escape`.
Test`escape
@wizzwizz4 It should work.
Test`escape\
This is converted into:
``Test\`escape\``
which is rendered:
Test\`escape\
(Sorry, I made a typo in the comments.)
Test\`escape\
Uh oh...
Test`escape\
Ok, this should work.
Now I'm going to ninja your modified rules with this:
I am testing `this` test-case: ``\`Hello', said the world.``\
Breaking this sort of thing is my speciality.
I am testing `this` test-case: `Hello', said the world.\
I am testing `this` test-case: `\`\`Hello', said the world.`\`\

Test`\`ing
When you get that sorted, try this:
give up and see message sources
That one seems to be multiline..
``I am so sorry. `test` ```test` tes`t``\`\\`\``\`\\`\`\`\``\``\`\`\`\`\`\`\`\
going to reverse engineer how markdown processing works
@user202729 I cheated.
BTW is SE open source?
13:58
@user202729 The user-facing part is.
Check GitHub.
Prepend 4 spaces will always work.
They sell licenses for the back-end, though.
@user202729 Hence cheating.
That's not used in chat iirc.
Just test it to be sure.

@user202729 Hey, look how many people are staring this message!
Now it looks actually unrealistic [evil]
14:03
Wow. In the thousands already!
Not sure if it actually have thousand separator.
[check SE source to be sure]
{intentionally float the screen}
Hm... anyway. Unfortunately I can't read C#. Should I learn it?
@user202729 Probably not.
It's not a good language imo.
Argh! I rate-limited myself.
I knew there was a reason for me not to do that big thing.
I guess it should be "improved Java"?

A deleted message.
@user202729 Tbh I don't think it's an improvement.
It uses the current-version. You can also link to messages in the future.
Imo the only good thing about C# is that it helped the development of Java.
Not that I think Java is good.
I mean, it has its uses... but those uses (luckily) don't often coincide with the things I enjoy doing.
@user202729 Really.
I meant, like this:

Judging by the rate of chatting, I reckon that that link will work in a few months.

No. If it doesn't work right now, it will never work.
No. If it doesn't work right now, it will never work.
Let's see if we can get two messages to copy each other.
No. Never.
It might work.
Because the quoted content is at-the-time-of-posting, not continuously-updated.
14:14
If we each post a message, then edit them with a one-box of the other at a very close UTC time.
Hopefully, cacheing will make it possible.
I don't think so. Everything is sequential.
@user202729 You've obviously never used multi-threading. :-)
``` multiple backticks ```
multiplebackticks
eight ```` + ```` backticks
``` ` ```
I am testing `this` test-case: ``\`Hello', said the world.``\
14:15
Just wrap it in one more backtick than is the maximum in the message!
Looks like that enough backtick is fine.
Soo... bad challenge.
``` ` ```
Why doesn't this work...?
`````I am so sorry. test test` tes`t``\`\\`\``\`\\`\`\`\``\``\`\`\`\`\`\`\`\
Wait, that doesn't cope with backticks at the beginning.
This will work. It's hard to get backtick to be at the beginning.

@user202729 Whitespace breaks stuf.f
Just what I'm going to say.

Doesn't work.
I don't think it's possible for some inputs.
