@joe there's nothing "illiterate" about the statement. "Illiterate" does not mean "opinion I disagree with."

@gnasher729 You're right, let me rephrase that: In Germany, libel or slander have to have a potential effect on your honor, whereas in the US it requires a measurable effect on your pocketbook. In Germany, if someone calls me an "asshole", I don't have to lay out how colleagues of mine actually believed it and stopped working with me, and how I lost a job/client/contract as a consequence. But of course, a certain public element is required.
