There is certainly some value in pushing people a bit. The trick is to know when you've pushed far enough. Not an easy thing to know really, when is enough enough.

uhoh for sure has trouble with getting into heated discussions and bringing drama to meta. Sometimes it takes him a while to understand what people are trying to get at, but rep grubbing is not the source of pain here.

The biggest spike I've seen since the month after launch was maybe 2000 simultaneous visitors. Right now is around 400. Elon Musk tweeting the link to the site the first time was at least 40K I think.

Darn, they ONLY put the payload into orbit, on time, for a 30 second launch window. They only got the booster most of the way back, but could not quite stick the landing. We are so spoiled.
