@Kh40tiK You cannot manually create an array_meter. You can only ask for it to be filled in via WSGetArrayTypeWithDepthAndLeafType. Then call WSGetType() to determine the class (i.e. integer, real). Then call WSGetRawType() to figure out if it is 8,16,32,64-bit for integers or single or double for reals. Then you can call WSGetXXXXArrayData to grab the data.

@Kh40tiK So basically you just want to detect if it's possible to use MLGetReal64Array or MLGetInteger64Array to get the next thing on the link, for performance reasons.
