When I try to remember the spelling of a difficult word, I come up with a deliberately incorrect (silly sounding, but memorable) pronunciation for it, which helps me remember.

Figurative use of to expressing a purpose or goal as a destination is how to developed into an infinitive marker.

Yes, I'd say so. They used to always say "man and wife", but "husband and wife" is more common these days.

This is the second time this week I've heard something like "better than a native speaker"
Apr 29, 2015 17:21
> "Thin, wispy brown hair hugged his head, and slipped down his face and clung to the ridges in a cozy beard; his modern glasses and rustic face, like our two selves, were entirely different and in contrast, and the eyes he was burdened with were clandestine, un-telling, and had a subtle kindness in not sharing what hey had seen in years before. Rough skin partitioned himself from the world, and secured what emotions, had he had any, on the other side of it to me."

"I believe that we can free ..." -- facepalm!
Apr 20, 2015 13:38
I believe that we can free to interpret any quotes whichever way we want; however, if we want to know what the speaker meant when he or she said that, it's probably the best to understand it in context. I found this quote on en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Talk:John_F._Kennedy, with a note "Yes, but it is edit" (from Yale University Commencement June 11, 1962). — Damkerng T. 11 mins ago

It's one thing I mentioned a few times about users (learners) on ELL. I wish everyone disclosed where they're from or at least something about their first languages. I mean, it could make it easier to help them.

If a band is a brand, it means that some brands are bands. We have a piece of evidence that a band is indeed a brand, how can we prove that all bands are brands?...
