Unfortunately, now the answer you accepted does NOT answer the question (it doesn't answer how it relates to any possible inconsistencies in her works). You'll have to un-accept it. I still contend the question itself is off-topic, but oh well -- I know you know.

@Skooba I rolled it back to the original version of the post, before the edit war started.

Questions about a scifi author's personal life, especially unrestricted to her works, are definitely OFF-TOPIC here! It has correctly gathered a ton of downvotes, but with an open bounty it seems impossible to close at the moment.

@Skooba Tremendously far fewer votes in the accepted answer from meta than the sum of votes in this question; I wouldn't rely in that meta answer to represent the consensus. Furthermore, that question is about "non-SF/F elements in a SF/F work"... pray tell, which is the SF/F work in question here?

@Skooba Oh, come on! That line of reasoning wouldn't be accepted anywhere. So if Rowling had sneezed in an interview, we could discuss which brand of tissue paper she prefers here? Nah. Besides, she mentioned maths in her interview; even admitting this makes math on-topic (I don't) it still makes "things she's bad at" as a person definitely off-topic.

@AndresF. I mean I might agree with the don't rely on Meta, if we weren't constantly told that IS what we need to rely on. This is a general fandom question, which has always been ON-TOPIC. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

@AndresF. Those of us familiar with JKR realize her being bad at thing is greatly part of the fandom.

@AndresF. I always maintain this question is on topic in its original form. I don't have to to do bupkis to the accepted answer.

@AndresF. Can't say I understand the hate. It falls within the scope of the site, and isn't too broad. I have a hard time understanding why it got any downvotes at all.

Editing the question has invalidated the existing answer. I've rolled it back

@Skooba - And hence worthy of a new question, if you fancy getting downvoted to hell

@DaveJohnson Hate? And anyway, nobody seems to want to answer this: are JKR's political opinions on-topic here? Since she is a fantasy author, and everything she says seems to be fandom/on-topic, if she ever compares Voldemort to Trump, can I ask about her other political opinions?
