Clues: one (possibly hyphenated) word, dictionary phrase, or actual name of actual thing ("New York", "Pride and Prejudice"). Clues must be semantic, not based on spelling or board position.

@Brandon_J Generally, we don't help the other team. One good reason because all of us are very capable so offering to help can often come across as demeaning. And another is so your teammates don't hate you.
