I've just published an APL implementation of the yard-sale model (a model that predicts that the rich will get richer while the poor get poorer).

https://github.com/romilly/yard-sale

I need to tidy up the notebooks but background and essential code are in the README.
I'd love some feedback.

what "stuck" for me about the array languages was the community around it. following discussions, decades in the past, gave life to something otherwise esoteric and obscure. most were about some mathematical or technical insight (there's nothing better than grokk'ing an APL idiom for the first time), but it was the humor, the flashes of character that made really made me engage

However, if you print that rendered HTML table onto thick cardboard, and stick four legs on it, then it's a table.

topanswers.xyz/apl is now live. This community is for APL, mainly Dyalog APL, and APL-like languages (e.g. J, K and Q). However, array programming in any language (e.g. NumPy, Julia, and MatLab) is on topic, especially if in comparison to APLs.

@Schiphol You could also write fact←{×/1+⍳⍵}¨ but really, what you're after is a way to define a scalar function, i.e. one that behaves like the likes of +-×÷! and we don't have a neat way to do that yet. The plan is that in version 20.0, you'll be able to easily do that with fact←{×/1+⍳⍵}⍥0

so it is common to use ⊢ after operators to avoid stranding and instead switch from the operand context to the argument context
