Well good luck everybody! I'm confident no matter what we are in good hands. And if I lose, don't worry -- I don't get mad, I get even.

If you have questions about the election process itself, please ask your question on the Raspberry Pi Meta Site. Remember, folks stepping up to lead this community are committing a significant amount of their time, please keep all discourse civil and constructive.

@SlySven You were my first thought WRT Jiving's best new member 2015. I didn't post when I saw the Phil B. nomination, which made me do a double take ("Phil B was new for 2015?!!?"). But I will now because because. This is all nice, we have a good active core potential. Or something something.

well if he had a twin we could send one into space then have a relative time frame to measure against. Alternatively we could analyzze the amount of stontium in his teeth, or carbon date him

I would consider it a failure if we graduate, but can't then get more than 3 people to nominate themselves as moderators.
2
Dec 8, 2015 14:53
@Ghanima You seem awfully invested in the site but you haven't nominated yourself, why not? :P

The main problem I see with meta is that not's what it is intended for, and it will not be very flexible. It also means promoting individual articles is essentially random, and people's stuff will tend to get buried periodically (e.g., as in the past few weeks).
Dec 23, 2015 21:52
I am leaning toewards coopting meta the structure etc is in place to support usernames, comments polls etc.
Dec 23, 2015 21:48
-1 for talking about self in 3rd person
Dec 23, 2015 21:47

Dec 23, 2015 00:55

Dec 22, 2015 22:21
I'm chuffed with this because I figured if I lost as an incumbent it meant I probably really ticked people off. Which I was worried about. So hooray, people like me!

M&m's are far superior to smarties. Smarties are a consolidation prize for when they're out of sweettarts.
Dec 22, 2015 00:24
Looks like Ghanima and I both got the secret "vote for yourself first in the final stage of a moderator election" hat.
Dec 22, 2015 00:02
The words: "I'm going to write a Visual Basic app to ping his IP address and geolocate it." have been forever burned into my brain by a rage stroke.
Dec 21, 2015 23:57
Under the innocent guise as an education company ;)
Dec 21, 2015 23:34
The fact that @SteveRobillard was interrogated by the Secret Service, and @goldilocks was an illegal immigrant makes one wonder what @jivings is hiding...
Dec 21, 2015 17:05
Well, to be fair, you are kind of shady :P
Dec 21, 2015 17:03
Probably shouldn't be Ghanima since he's been nominated for one of them.
Dec 19, 2015 00:25
