Art Challenge

The dream starts. I find myself in a dark place, but I can see a row of four faintly glowing lights in front of me. Fortunately, I have a flashlight, which I turn on. I look around. I am standing on a wide marble balcony, right next to a carved wooden handrail, which is ornate but with paint that is just starting to peel.
About 30 feet below me is a large courtyard, and a long staircase to my left leads down to it. I never look behind me.
There are a few people standing around nearby, not doing much. I don't pay much attention to them. Perhaps this is a party or casual gathering of some sort?

Glancing behind him to make sure he wasn't followed, Nicholas Archibald Dinglehiemer III crept up to the ancient phone booth. Checking again, he inched the warped wooden door open with a horrendous _creeeeak_.
He leapt inside and closed the door behind him, confining himself in the cramped box. He pulled out a flashlight, and flipped it on, swinging it around to make sure he wasn't in danger of bumping into a spiders web. Cobwebs, but nothing to be worried about.
Taking a deep breath, he turned to the phone.
