You’re creating an esolang and you’re worried about it getting too messy? :)

@TanMath So we don't clutter the conversation there. Well, actually, so the conversation there doesn't clutter ours. :P

Certain instructions operate on certain structures, so ideally I can produce a web-like diagram showing which operators influence which other ones.

Just had the stupidest golflang idea ever: it can only take an integer I, as a program. Then it goes on `https://codegolf.stackexchange.com/a/I, executes the program there and answers. This means it will always get 6 bytes on all challenges in the near future of PPCG, assuming there is at least one answer that solves the challenge.

quite a fun way to design esolangs: look at PPCG challenges, then try to work out what sort of language feature would make it possible to beat the front-runner

but many esolangs are conceptual, intended to pose or answer questions about the nature of programming, it gets quite philosophical sometimes

I guess I should link to it in here as well: new esolang Stack Cats. Hello World, esolangs article.

I don't know... another reason I've been putting off development on this... I'd have to start with a thorough analysis of the actual game mechanics of SMB1 ^^

@MartinBüttner Also noticeable is the sudden spike in a mythical element known as "chat stars."

The Nineteenth Byte is quite... different today.

By the way, did you see this idea I had early on for Funciton, which I eventually discarded because it’s not necessary and would compromise the basicness of built-ins?

@Stefnotch I have finally pushed those changes to the Labyrinth interpreter

The stack isn't even used!

But it was partly inspired by SMBF so I thought you might like it.
