But the privacy policy says, ...
Stack Exchange is about questions with objective, factual answers. We've been crystal clear about this for as long as I can remember, even back to the earliest, pre-beta days of Stack Overflow. It's right there in the standard Stack Exchange FAQ:
As a general notice to other moderators, there is currently a user or users creating sockpuppet accounts with names intended to be similar to candidates.
I'm not going to read the other candidates until I write mine. I want to have the answers be what I think... I may change them later but at least people can see if I did change them and what I wrote initially.
I don't want to make the election more difficult but it'd be fun to get enough nominees to have the primary... then again, if we don't have a primary, it will be finished sooner and J.R. will have more people to help.
Yes, yes you should, @SQB. As a general rule, if the form of the question wouldn't be acceptable on your site (regardless of topic), then dropping it onto someone else's (where the author may not even have an account) is rude: it's probably not gonna get better. @inɒzɘmɒЯ.A.M As I said to a mod on M&TV yesterday... your ability to answer a question is irrelevant to your ability to moderate a site... There's no correlation.
@Catija JR's been an outstanding mod; I hope he stands, although "He loves him not / That would upon the rack of this rough world / Stretch him out longer".
@StoneyB Not for graduation mods... The slate gets wiped clean... J.R. has to run and the other three will be removed from the Mod list (unless they come back, run and win a slot again).
