I was looking over the unanswered questions and there are SO many, perhaps a vote-a-thon is needed to down vote the duds (perhaps having no down vote penalty to encourage anyone to down vote (and look at so they might also up-vote) an unanswered question. Then the answerthon would be answering questions actually voted on by someone or some three people...

Hi all, whenever you see this. I think that it might be useful to point this out to everyone who took part in the election, either through voting or standing. "Meta" interest will likely be high, and in order to keep everyone included (including unsuccessful candidates) we could perhaps dish out tags to people, say I get iWork and related, someone get's iOS and related, someone get's iTunes, as we get a target to close edit answer or otherwise improve on say 30 answers each

Maybe we could feature people in a Community Promo ad: "Hi, I'm name here and I was a top answerer in the 2011 Answerthon"

I'm up for a bit of a Vote-a-thon. Everynow and then go and click on the unanswred tab and go through a few, might do it today.

@KyleCronin, not necessarily. It could be for "top answerers" -- answer 3 and you get an ad.
