@Taras I recommend that all nominations include a statement on their candidacy that incorporates direct responses to the questions of the questionnaire. Three of the four current candidates have already done that.

@Taras On the Election page there is a section called "Questionnaire" - click the Show Questions link to expand it. That said, if you nominate yourself it should add the questionnaire automatically to the nomination screen so you can fill it out there if you desire.

I've always wondered why, in these elections, we only vote for new moderators. I stopped being active here mainly because of the heavy-handed moderation by a particular moderator. Some other users have expressed the same feeling over the years. Although nowadays the main challenge is competing with AIs (which feels like a lost battle), I still think some moderators are not suited for the role and don't facilitate the incorporation of new users due to excessive moderation.

In the early days when I was mostly active and contributing to GISSE, I thought that being a moderator was a privilege and an advantage, and I was willing to be a candidate if there was a moderator election. But over time, as my reputation grew, I realized that it is not a privilege and an advantage, but a burden that requires serious responsibility and time. Good luck to all candidates.
