One can never eliminate liability vulnerability. One can only reduce amount of liability. (My own words which I learned in the school of hard knocks.)

@Polynomial Advanced Linear Devices makes a series of transistor arrays with the body terminal exposed (and not tied to source) - check out the ALD1117/ALD1107 and ALD1116/ALD1116 for the PFET and NFET versions, respectively. They're not cheap, but that's the only practical device I've found with an isolated body terminal.

Actually, with all the "wifi-connected space heaters" I've been seeing, how hilarious would it be if they were doing crypto mining?

Show of hands, how many people think it's silly to go to Digikey to buy a part made by your own company?

When the Spartans said "with the shield or on it", they weren't talking about Arduino expansion boards.

ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1311997/?page=1 I don't think any journal would publish something like that these days, they all lost their sense of humour

@DanielSank This is the HP software I had in mind. It ended up in another [no fewer times renamed] shard of HP: broadcom.com/appcad

Let's say your white noise source has 10nV/rtHz and extends only up to 100 MHz. That means that you will get 100 Nyquist bands to RMS up in your base band, so the measured noise will be sqrt(100) * 10 nV/rtHz = 100 nV/rtHz

I do not believe all four numbers are correct at the same time. If they are, you need to replace your breaker. But unless you show me a single picture with 4 meters (current and voltage in, current and voltage to load), I don't take anything you're saying at face value.

@ScientistSmithYT Have you considered spending a couple nights or days reading an introductory physics textbook and learning the rest of the world's theories about the matter?

I'm really tempted to limit discussions about fringe theories to capacitor perimeters. It's a field with a lot of potential.

Physics and I don't care how innovative you are. You ain't getting 9kW of solar powered "hand held." You might get it "fold carefully and transportable by one person with a hand pulled cart" if you try hard.

Why in the #*@! do companies copy protect their datasheets? I can't think of a reason why this even makes sense. It doesn't prevent copying. I can always screenshot and ocr. It makes no sense at all

@W5VO I was talking with my father the other day. He is 89 years old, and an Amateur Radio Operator. Told him about Stack Exchange Chat Room. He responded brightly by saying something to the effect of, "That sounds a lot like "Rag Chewing, only you don't have to deal with atmospheric conditions." Pretty astute for a 90 year old man.

Lighthouse project seeks to use accidental discovery for good
We occasionally invent things we don’t need for our own operations, but that can be of value to society. One example of such
serendipity is the Lighthouse project. While researching a possible new light source for our new EUV systems, we discovered
that a high-energy electron beam we were working with could also be used to produce the medical isotope ‘Mo-99’. This
isotope is essential for diagnosing cancer. Currently, it is mainly produced from enriched uranium in nuclear plants that require
