Why a sphere ? Seems like a pretty bad shape for something (Presumably) interstellar ? Also what is a 4D printer in this context ?
Generally speaking, i would say any interstellar ship could yield
- Advanced heat resistant materials
- very good kinetic resistant materials (Bullet proofed stuff basically)
- very good Radars and potentially lasers
- Maybe some sort of self healing / repair mechanism
