Discussion on question by FieldDesign: I just failed PIP, should I ask for management to terminate my employment?

I have accepted an offer from another company. I start on July 10th. I am required to give 14 day notice.

@FieldDesign Sometimes, we accept a financial loss in order to properly move on. Focusing on getting the severance when you already have another job lined up is a wrong focus. I suggest that a better focus is getting out of there cleanly. If you lose the severance, that might be a good price for getting free.
