All right. For those who have been thinking about the first puzzle for a while and are tired / feel stuck, here are two hints to (hopefully) set you on the right track. They're encoded in rot13, so you don't see 'em if you don't want to.

If you are working on the unicorn riddle, be aware this room might contain hints and minor spoilers.

Why didn't (or did) I or some other user get a hat although the requirements were (or weren't) fulfilled?

the advantage of yyyy mm dd is that it sorts nicely. A directory listing is automatically sorted for you, if filenames start with a date,

YYYY-MM-DD is superior.

We really like frustrating the completionists. :P

@DikiAnanta The former. All URLs that you enter need to be at the second level of the hierarchy, immediately under https://winterbash2022.stackexchange.com, not nested more deeply.

@Catija I am asking this seriously. Can the staff please do a check on the main WB related posts on Meta and see if someone is actively doing serial downvoting? I get that those are fake internet point, I get that one may think the issue is not worth the effort but this is getting quite pathetic by now.

After flagging tens of "thanks" comments, got Flagging, Unflagging and Emperor's hats. Many of them were removed immediately. I retracted some.

It's always so addictive, that's why we love Winter Bash.

I didn't make the top 10 overall but I smashed it on Super User being #1 with a margin of 6 hats clear of #2.

We're working on the wrap up blog and the stats page, but it should be out either later today or tomorrow. :)

I tried to best you @Jesbus but I was no match ;-)
