UK spends 3,278 British pounds per capita in government spending. This is 4,532.46 USD. US federal government spends 3636 USD per capita, and states spend a large amount. So no, US citizens have more of their tax money spent on health care per person than citizens of other industrial nations. It is just that the US health care system is crazy inefficient.
