It's been a while here too. As far as I remember it hinges on the idea that fascism is based on the idea of being a better/more valuable person because one belongs to a group of such people, no matter what kind of group. Hence those that don't belong because they are not among the chosen or are not willing, are of less value and deserve less from life or the coming powers.. It often uses these ideas to lure persons with a distinct lack of self-value: I may have all those problems but at least I am with the right peole and our leader tells us whose fault our plight really is. Jews by default..

@T.E.D.: Please don't cite Wikipedia as though it were an authoritative reference. And please don't miss the point: the reason there is no 'accepted' definition has nothing to do with political science3 and everything to do with political pragmatics. Political scientists would (more or less) agree with the assessment here. But no one in politics wants an 'accepted' analytical definition that might be applied to them, and fascists in particular are adamant about disputing anything that paints their group in a negative light, and will contest any effective analytical definition.
