One minute... get ready...
Welcome everyone to Everything Nintendo! Today is the first day where we are going to talk about the upcoming Nintendo console, known only by it's codename "Nintendo NX". In a previous announcement, I revealed that I was going to show a picture of what the controller (or possibly the entire console, itself!) looked like. Just give me a minute, and I'll post the picture and the link to where I got it.
Here's the picture:
And here's the link:
So, what do you think? Leave your opinions on it here! This conversation will continue for 2 more hours, so tell us all about it!
... I have to reply to this
Note the first: A random wordpress site that noone on the internet knows about?
The post linked was posted on august 18th

@KevinvanderVelden That's what makes it so strange. It looks like an actual unit, but I wonder if it really is a Nintendo prototype...?
@KevinvanderVelden Thanks for changing your mind, BTW.
The first image is an old image of a supposed mockup of the 3DS, the original, the second is non relevant. The third is literally modified in paint
;-)
And the fourth has a bloody cartridge sticking out
Are you kidding me?

That's not going to fly
@BorWal only because of the patent ridiculousness of you making a big deal about this
Well, it was a long shot.
Wait, there's not an actual Nintendo press conference or something?
That's what you made it sound like.
The nintendo polystation
@StrixVaria yuup

Something to take note from Nintendo's products: Durability
Man! I thought it was spectacular! Now after a good look, I realize that the third image is a Wii box!
> In conclusions, we can all agree that NX will most likely sell with flying clors, and you must attack anyone who says otherwise.

I've been TRICKED!
This must be satire.
The first picture looks like a phone in a case with a crappy controller attachment.
I can't post 3 dots as 3 messages, just imagine that's what I did
I'm laughing as I post this. :-P
@BorWal It's ok, it was a tricky trickster's
Dec 10, 2015 16:17
@NBN-Alex ... no
There was nothing tricky about this
I feel like I should just freeze this room and leave it this way forever as a warning.
> In conclusions, we can all agree that NX will most likely sell with flying clors, and you must attack anyone who says otherwise. Until next time,
@KevinvanderVelden Good find!
@KevinvanderVelden (Shhh! I'm trying to make him feel better! D:)
CLORS?
Dec 10, 2015 16:19
@BorWal right click on image -> "search google for image"
@BorWal spelling unchanged from the quote
This is from your webpage, are you kidding me?
@StrixVaria I'll be more careful, next time.
However, looking at your link of the 3DS "mock-up" is curious. It's hard to tell if it is an actual product by Nintendo.
doubt it
Mainly because they've always built for durability first.
So.... What is it?
A tablet design?
@BorWal this, by the way, is just an early wii u devkit nintendoenthusiast.com/wii-u/…
Yeah, I saw that. I also mistakenly thought it was the NX. My bad.
Dec 10, 2015 16:24
@KevinvanderVelden That's actually very surprsing, compared to the current WiiU, it's easy to see that the same form gets improved on (controller wise)
@NBN-Alex naah, early devkits are always giant
instead of sending something out that's not going to look like the final product
@ardaozkal @GodEmperorDune Hello!
@NBN-Alex if you do that then there won't be any games made for the final product =p
@BorWal aand I'm going out. The device is fake. It is a samsung tablet on a GBA.
Dec 10, 2015 16:26
@KevinvanderVelden For the console base, yes, those tend to be PCs with a mockup of the hardware - I've ment the controller is closer to what the end product will be
Heck, I've developed for the Nintendo DS, that was a giant box with a nearly empty shell attached via a too-short cable
@ardaozkal LOL
@NBN-Alex looks to me like the controller is pretty close, buttons placed a bit differently but that's about it
So, it is a mock-up. Hack. Mod. Whatever.
@BorWal what? The wii u devkit? No that's nothing more or less than an image of a wii u devkit

Searched on one of the sites you all left a link to. Check out these pictures: purenintendo.com/nintendo-nx-rumor-round-up
So, no information at all yet
Just sketches.
Patents that mean nothing
According to a rumor that is all over the web, the unit will be a handheld/console combination - meaning a hybrid. If those sketches are actual Nintendo sketches, they seem to confirm that rumor.
I'll keep digging up more NX material to debunk.
They are actual nintendo things, as they are from patent applications
That however does not mean a damn thing other than someone having the idea and they paying a few hundred dollars to file a patent just in case
Dec 10, 2015 16:35
@KevinvanderVelden Well, yeah. That's true.
This is what is known:
Sorry, didn't mean to post the entire article! :-P
At least a reputable source, even if it's still just rumours. But they're pretty empty rumours
Ah well, I'm leaving, o/
Check this out! TechRadar has an article about the upcoming Mario game. Mario and the worlds he resides in will be rendered in Unreal 4, and the game will be released on the NX. Take a look at the article here! - techradar.com/us/news/gaming/…
At least, that's what I gather. None of this has been conclusive, but it's an idea that could be worked on.
> This is what the next Super Mario should look like on Nintendo NX
> But what if the development team behind Gears of War took a shot at recreating Mushroom Kingdom's veteran good guy for the big N's next system, the Nintendo NX? What if it got a facelift using one of the most dynamic design tools available to developers? And, stay with me here, what if it was set in some of the creepiest pre-defined environments to ever grace video games?
Did you even read it? This is not an article about "the upcoming Mario game"
Where am I? What's happening?
Well, what's it from?
Leaks galore! Nintendo Life produced this video: nintendolife.com/news/2015/10/…
@Sterno Oh, welcome! You're in a chat about Nintendo's upcoming console, codenamed "NX".
So far, I've produced two articles that doesn't show what the NX looks like. One was entirely fake, and the other was about a Super Mario 64 clone developed by Epic Games on the Unreal 4 engine.
Got any evidence? We're here for a peek at the NX. If you think you might have a picture, post it here, and we'll talk about it!
To anyone, in general.
BorWal has left the building, and the talk is still going! I'm gonna take a break, but this chat is not over yet! Continue to talk about the NX - I'll be back soon to see what you posted!
