@hBy2Py I thought about that question as being too broad and primarily opinion based and would have closed it. Why didn’t that happen, btw?
Which?

Q: Computational chemistry: research in organic chemistry?

Melanie ShebelI was wondering what research I could do that combines computational chemistry and organic chemistry. For the past three years, I've been using Amber and Gaussian (in hopes) to identify and understand trends in intramolecular interactions of dipeptides. = Organic structure but really computation...

That's the thing, it should be closed...it falls under the category of a soft question
Give it a couple of days, then VTC it.
That's what we do to soft questions we like.
They get the input needed and then later, rubbish answers are prevented.

@pH13-YetanotherPhilipp -1 doesn't look evil enough
Facepalm
I don't think it's that bad.
You've been online too much then. You should get a sleep or a swim or whatever you seals do
It's not opinion-based.

It's TB.
If anything, it might be too broad
Tetra-Boron, I mean
That's debatable, I'm refraining from VTCing. Not saying that I think it should remain open I just don't have much of an opinion either way.
@orthocresol Debatable? "What are some things" are always TB.
If you say so.

Louder please.
She is fortunate there are experienced people here, but it's already attracted some...nonsense.
The computational chemist has spoken.
The perfect one to answer would be Martin, he's a trained computational organic chemist.
@pH13-YetanotherPhilipp Probably because a 5k user (hi!) jumped on it and answered at length, instead.
And then there's this guy...

probably ^^
@hBy2Py Damn rep farmers
@Rubisco Yeah, that's me. Shameless what I'll do sometimes.
Close it if you guys want. I just thought it has value
@hBy2Py Go sit in the corner, and think about what you did.
@orthocresol I agree, I wouldn't argue if it got closed. I just saw a chance to share some things I'm excited about and took it.
A chat invitation might well have been more appropriate.

@hBy2Py I know many people who are interested in this exact area.
It does have value, the nonsense is currently contained to the comments.
It's good if they have something valuable to see, at the very least.
@orthocresol Closure doesn't invalue invaluable valued values or whatever. It will just stop additional nonsense from being added.
I never said, that I don’t like the question. I’m happy about every question that is comp chem related. ^^
That's biased.

Then close it. It's not like I have a veto.
