Which knight forking the royal family is he talking about in chesskids.org.uk/level2/ncl6l1.htm#t15?
I see that the knight would threaten the King but not Queen. The Queen is at diagonal from f6. The knight cannot threaten anything along the diagonal.

@LittleAlien That looks like a mistake in the puzzle if I'm not missing anything obvious. It would be a royal fork if the queen was on e8 though.
