Is there a workaround for deleting comments which decided not to display correctly, pushing the 'edit' and delete buttons beyond the expected border and under the related questions links?
@JMoravitz One option is asking a mod to do that. From what Arthur Fischer said here it seems that it is not that much work for them.

@MartinSleziak Either flagging or mentioning it here aren't terrible options. This seems to be more of a "Fischer Mods' Office" right now, so your audience may not be as large if you do use this room. If you see something that is breaking (the layout of) the site, I wouldn't just let it be, so (c) is out, and therefore (d), too.
If one is available, here is the link math.stackexchange.com/questions/1484585/…
Long time ago Willie Wong mentioned some kind of workaround in this answer. But I have never tried it.
I'm in the middle of a long row-reduction, hoping to answer the linked question. I'm hoping that there is only the two sets of linear dependencies, but we'll see
The explanation why this happens occasionally is given here.
And here is another workaround suggested by Asaf. But I have never tried this one either.
Let's hope some of the mods will come here, see your link and edit the comment.

I got it fixed, thanks for the links @martin. Willie's fix worked like a charm. Just took a moment to understand what exactly he was suggesting.
It was to click on code that wasn't borked and was displaying correctly. There is an option to rescale. I had been confused at first, seeing that the code that was borked was only giving me an option to grow larger, not smaller.
once rescaling, refreshing the page made all mathjax to display much smaller than before, pushing it back within the normal confines.
