Is there any simple example(Example that can be easily understand by freshers) for Normal is not a hereditary property?

When I google for it I got Tychonoff plank space. Which is beyond my level :(

@N.Maneesh Did you check examples given on the main site: Examples for subspace of a normal space which is not normal?

Q: Examples for subspace of a normal space which is not normal

Jesse P Francis Are there any simple examples of subspaces of a normal space which are not normal? I know closed subspace of a normal space is normal, but open subspace in most cases which I can think of are also normal.

And you could also have a look at the examples in pi-base: https://topology.jdabbs.com/theorems/I000036

@MartinSleziak Yes. I found that difficult.
Here is another post about the same problem: Give an example of non-normal subspace of a normal space.
