@MonicaCellio I rolled back your edit to this question:

Q: At what time did Jesus rise from the tomb?

SimonsI am assured that the four good news accounts are historic accounts based on actual witnesses and it is the equivalent of four different news paper articles based on the same events. It is not somebody's religion or worldview. It is a solid evidence report for the life and acts of a Hebrew by the...

I think an edit like yours is warranted, but referencing "Peter" in place of "the gospel of Peter" would have been confusing to a lot of people.

@Soldarnal why roll back the entire thing instead of further editing to make that smaller change?
BTW I assume that "the so-called gospel of Peter" is considered rude, right?

@MonicaCellio I guess I was having trouble thinking straight. The change from the gospel of Peter to Peter made the whole edit feel dramatic; and yet it also felt like an even bigger edit was needed to re-frame the question to be less of a self-answer. I was trying to edit back in the rest of your changes but then felt like I was repainting a building that was about to be gutted anyway and stopped.
@MonicaCellio It's an invective, though I don't know who would be insulted by it. The Gospel of Peter wasn't discovered until the late 19th century; I doubt anyone seriously believes it was written by Peter. Most date it to mid second century, but even the Anchor Yale Bible Dictionary which dates it mid first century says only that it was written in the name and possibly authority of Peter.
@Soldarnal I rolled back your rollback and then changed "Peter" to "gospel of Peter" since that seemed to be your objection. Further work may be needed, but at least now it's coherent.
@Soldarnal ok, thanks. I don't think we really want to host invective on our site.
