@KronoS with win7 lots of people got stuck around there ~25-30%, it is a specific thing that occurs at that time in the install, hmmmmmm, if only i could remrmber

@Creator you can swap out the memory sticks with new ones
or you can run a memory diagnositcs software like memtest

erm... I don't have any new sticks, and I surely don't want to open up my laptop. I wouldn't be able to pack it up again

a memtest software if it all passes certian tests, you can usually then ignore that for long and long times.
