I let him know, he agreed.

And guess what? That's how we deal with things here.

I empathise with the sheer horribadness of @rahuldottech's textbook, let him know that, well, he's a little too frustrated, and he cools down.

Where I'm from, we just ignore slightly harsh tones. Unless someone is getting all in your face and threatening you, you just take it like a man. Or ignore it. Or leave.

I must be totally out of tune with modern culture.
