At first, I thought that remembering the formulae and their derivation and being able to solve questions was all (That was hella easy as compared to what I do now)
Then, I thought that deriving the formula yourself using different approaches, compiled with what I thought earlier was all.
And then, I thought that it is also important to see if the formula adds anything to your understanding, if what the formula can do is possible to be done without it, if there's an alternative.
- Why exactly is this necessary or what "accidentally discovered relation" was used to derive it?
- What are the various ways to derive this particular formula?
- What are the different versions of this formula? What can be deduced from these different versions?
- Does there exist a different approach towards the formula's function?
- Does this particular definition add something to our understanding of the topic? i.e. is it something new, an extension of a previous definition (like the definition of trigonometric functions for all angles is an extension of the right triangle definition),
