Welcome to Project Update Thursday
I don't have much new this week, just been painting some more trim, and then pulling the tape back off. Only have a few spots to touch up on the walls, then I can start work on the floor in my den. After that, there's a short bit of electrical work to do, stain some quarter round, and furniture can start moving back up. Still thinking about my pantry shelves.

yeah, I'm late, but only cuz I was makin major progress this T so I have a huge U about my P
I finished the trench. I didn't tunnel under the rest of the tree roots, that was going good but there were about 6 thick ones in about a 3'-4' span, which would have been entirely too difficult. So, I tunneled through the roots around 8-9" below surface, and will use RMC for running the wires. Pics will be here next T I guess
Now I find out this stuff is super expensive, $44 for a 2"x10' piece? :(

Nice, not quite as easy as C4, but with a 4' thick root, going through sounds a lot easier than going under.
@BMitch yeah, and the tree towers over my house, so I didn't want damage the roots too bad...
I really want to put a french drain along the front of my house, but there's a pretty Japanese maple within 4' and other shrubs planted even closer, so any trench there would likely kill a lot of stuff.
funny you say that, I have a Japanese maple in front of my house and just planted some green velvet boxwoods yesterday (another P to U I suppose), #2 pots, so they're small so they don't overwhelm the maple which is of course the centerpiece, I have to update that question soon also
Looking at some of my electrical questions I asked on this site before I started this project, I might not need 2" conduit afterall, what a relief

@BigHomie wait, isn't bigger always better?
Only when it doesn't shrink my budget....
I'll have to see if big orange rents a conduit bender now
I think I'll probably go w/ 1.25" RMC and run a 2GA conductors inside
much to think about, meh, off to run errands, Great PUT!!
