Hello everyone! I've created this room to discuss and brainstorm new potential esolangs. I have a fair few ideas myself, and in general, I love throwing around ideas for such things! Please join if such discussions sound fun :)
Here's what I've been thinking! Feel free to respond to either of these and/or throw your own ideas into the mix:
Semi-concrete: For two different languages, I'm thinking about playing with number representations. One would encode and manipulate only surreal numbers. The other would be based on the Stern-Brocot tree. It would only have fractions and they could only be manipulated through traversing the tree.
Wibbly-wobbly: I've also had this very abstract idea of having a language where instead of telling it what to do with the input, you tell it how to process it. In other words, you sort of implement your own mathematical notation so that the inputs, when evaluated gives the desired output.
Like the first two, if instead of an explicit lang idea, you've come across a neat number/string representation system that you'd like to base the lang around, that's equally fun, IMO!
