Do you want me to explain what we did?
Or is it obvious?
its 5 PM too, just in the nick of the time XD
@JohnRennie i kind of get it but go on
i really dont understand much about path/environment variables etc
In Windows programs like kaggle.exe are kept in a directory
for installing python stuff we use python ....., and similarly for kaggle stuff you use kaggle ...., but for "kaggle' to be recognized as a command we need to add it to the path like python
In this case when you install kaggle the app kaggle.exe gets installed in C:\Users\Shreshth Mehrotra\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python39\Scripts
Yes, the "path" is a list of directories that Windows looks in to try and find apps.
@JohnRennie hmm

So if you type fudge Windows looks in every directory in the path until it finds the app fudge.exe then it runs it.
So by adding the Scripts directory to the path you've told Windows to look in this drectory when trying to find an app.
In fact you'll now find you can just run pip instead of python -m pip because the app pip.exe is also in the Scripts directory.
