I thought Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was an "expansion" to Far Cry 3 not the...game...it is.

I can't believe how horrifically dirty I felt playing Tomb Raider with a game pad

I was forced to shower three times before I could sleep

What did (do) you think of Tomb Raider? I quite liked it but I don't know many people that actually played it.

I thought it was a good game, I played it on PC with a mouse first

the QTEs were a bit annoying at the start of the game

but after that it flowed pretty well and Lara didn't seem to have too many suicidal tendencies when it came to jumping around

Yes, the one where you have to scrabble up the slope got me a few times, and kneeing the guard took a couple of attempts.

yeah the guard annoyed the crap out of me, wasn't the kneeing part that got me, it was the button mashing combo to shoot him afterwards

other than that the only bits that resulted in retries was the sliding down the slopes things later in the game

Q: How to instal nogravity under Ubuntu?

Ah the paracuting through the trees took a couple of attempts, and there was a section where you had to run along a collapsing bridge and jump onto a thin rope bridge that took me the most attempts.

ah yeah, I had no problems with that, it was the waterfall that got me

kept getting impaled on spikes

it also felt like the game wanted you to play with the bow

and resented you for using a shotgun

especially near the end

I found the level design on the last section wasn't that great. I got stuck a few times where there were a couple of "marked" ledges that looks like you should have been able to scrabble up but you fell off each time.

yeah

the white walls that you can climb up on a background of white ice didn't seem very intuitive

I had to resort to a YouTube walkthrough for that - only needed it twice, the other time for swinging the cage and hitting the wall.

I felt dumb when I saw that though.

I was a little disappointed that the whole game was pretty much linear

they definitely missed an opportunity there

even if they'd made it so there were 2 or 3 ways to get from A to B it would have been far more impressive

but the environments were nice

Oh, yes, graphically it was good.

story wasn't terrible

gameplay was pretty good too

I would have like it if you could have attatched rope arrows to anything and climed up them.

Body count for Laras team was surprisingly high.

yeah, the story wasn't great but it wasn't terrible

and the game did flow quite well, to the point where I never really felt "meh cba with this"

which is an achievement in itself

Only had one gameplay bug - that was weird. The projectile I was shooting went off on a weird angle.

I haven't played Bioshock Infinite yet, so I'm still of the opinion that Tomb Raider is one of the best games I've played this year

There were the collectibles to keep me entertained for a while after, but I don't see much replay value.

Multiplayer was a bit clunkly, didn't play many games of that.

I didn't actually have any bugs during my playthrough

Yes, Tomb Raider and BioShock Infinite are certainly going to be in my "top games of 2013"

I've been very lucky, from what I've heard

Apparently DXHR had a lot of bugs in it but I never experienced any of those either

@kalina yeah, it's terrible. I mean, I guess it makes it easier to do precision movements because you can move slower but... when does that happen? 99.9% of the time you want to pick a direction and go there full speed

it's not so much a time thing

I'm only playing EVE about 5 hours a week atm

I spend more time than that on Arqade per day

I am impressed with it, technically wise, all running on one cluster, and the things that players do that CCP doesn't expect.

When a large battle takes place time slows down so the game doesn't lag...that's pretty sweet.

Ooh video stats on YouTube say where people are finding your videos from.

yep, you can do whatever you want in EVE as long as you don't utilise any third party application to pull it off (ie: cheat)
