I set it to viaduct by default, a reasonably small map.

Also, if we do play arena maps, should we make it not use the queue?

@badp why do people struggle with the fact that it's impossible to predict download speeds over the internet

@CRoss my download speed is capped by the ISP, it could be higher

so long as it remains capped, it should be fairly constant

what I instead see is Steam using 50%/100% of my bandwidth with some sort of rectangular wave graph :/

strange, my download was pretty steady

in 20 pages I'll have finished my book @badp then I'm going for a quick run and after that I'm good to go :)

TF2 had a 230MB update Thursday. Make sure you run Steam and update the game before game time Saturday.

So far TF2 doesn't leave me wanting for more, but being outnumbered 2:1 consistently might be part of the problem
