Q: Does "Group Message" mean that all recipients would "see" each other?

PacerierI was wondering if I send a message to two (or more) people using iOS5, will the message automatically be a "Group Message"? So, does that mean that in the above picture, John would know that I've sent "msg" to Peter, and Peter would know that I've sent "msg" to John?

I don't really know how you report a user rather than reporting a post, but this user is editing answers and questions and replacing titles and content with spam. Luckily, as a new member, they all go in the review queue, from where I have rejected them

Q: WWDC - Sponsorship Proposal

MosheContext: This post follows the guidelines placed here (link) for StackExchange conference attendance sponsorship. I got an email on friday from Apple that I've been awarded an Apple WWDC Student Scholarship. I'm going to San Francisco for the event. Yay! I'd like to get a StackExchange sponsorsh...

@stuffe Thanks - this works - but the best thing for this is to just flag it and put some comments in the free form area for flagging.
I'll have a look now.

hmm
My tab title has not been updating.

@JasonSalaz in your browser?

yeah
I just refreshed the page. It's only been open for like... forever.
the tab title for this page with unread messages, and the * noting the ping.

@JasonSalaz got it.

What's wrong with my WWDC proposal?

2:54 PM
@bmike Not sure how you flag a revision, or a user. The only way I would think was to accept it, flag it, then revert it?
@Moshe Hey @Moshe, can only speak for myself, I thought it was worth a punt for you to attempt some sponsoreship. But as WWDC is often developer related, and therefore often not directly alligned against our acceptable content policies and the FAQ (Betas, NDAs, etc) it's questionable what it might bring to the community as a whole
@Moshe If you can demonstrate more directly the community benefits for the AD subsite as a whole, it may get more favourable reception. Something simple like the promise of a really high quality series of blog posts, video blogs with screencasts etc of your time etc, this gives something back whilst subtley sidestepping the more stringent Q:A requirements for on-topic content.

@stuffe Flag the user or the question and link to the revision. You did the right thing as it may not be possible to flag an edit before you accept or reject it.
@Moshe It's fine to ask for support - however it seems a bit "self promotional" to link to it twice here in such a short timeframe.
Also - you seem to be far more active on other sites. What thought process did you undertake to decide to ask on this site for sponsorship rather than on the sites where you have accumulated more reputation. A developer conference is not really the main thrust of this site - so it might not even have to do with you but the scope and focus of people that participate here.

3:13 PM
@Moshe @bmike - To be fair, he did ponder that very question out loud in the entry this sentence links to.

I'd say - think it over, refrain from pimping your request promotionally too much here and decide which site you would most want to promote while out at WWDC. If you really want to promote this site - that's fine but give it some time and ask for feedback in an answer to your meta question and see what bubbles up.
@stuffe Absolutely - my initial thoughts are why here as opposed to on MSO - the logical case seems to be for a developer going to a developer conference wanting to promote a developer oriented QA site. I would expect people here to want to understand how the site would benefit from sponsoring a developer. These are just my personal thought process - so it will take a little time to figure out whether there is some support for this. Our meta is slow so I'd say in a week it should be more clear.

Chat's been quiet for a week or more now also

@stuffe Yes - also I'd like to point out Moshe did call out why he wants to promote this specific site at the bottom of his post.
Perhaps editing the post and putting that more clearly at the top and addressing what / why he wants sponsorship will help.
Also - refraining from self promotion might be worth considering for anyone that wants to instead promote the site.

4:05 PM
@bmike I'm pretty sure he asked in the chat room if that was okay, and whomever was here said it was fine. IIRC, it was a mod too
@bmike Start here and continue reading down to Kyle…

@daviesgeek I was the one that suggested he ask on meta about the site-promotion.
And - his offering his ad for self-promotion was totally fine as well. We would like to see some more action there - but being able to ask doesn't mean that people will vote for it.
Same with asking for support - it's fine to ask, but you do have to be open to people down voting a request. OK to ask doesn't mean it will automatically up voted or a prediction of what will eventually be posted.
@moshe isn't out of line (or we would be deleting things or chatting with him offline)
That isn't the case here. He's just using the things that SE and we have put together and figuring out what he wants to say with his time here. I hope he'll correct me if I'm off base on his intentions.

@bmike You're correct. I'm not trying to abuse the system. I'm going to WWDC anyway and I think it would be cool to promote AD at the heart of the Apple community.
The fact that this system is in place makes it better, I think.

4:23 PM
@Moshe That would be my take on the situation. I applaud your being open and asking in advance. I hope several people from the site would be interested in attending meetings, handing out stickers, etc... Since it's new - we'll just have to float some proposals and see what the SE team feels about it.
