@amWhy You've pinged the wrong person

Well, @Jack is perfectly capable of replying back to my comment to him. In any case, we are talking with 14 or more posts from one user, posted in CRUDE, in less than a five hour span. I examined and voted accordingly on half, until I recognized that it was the same user authoring all of them.

@amWhy as far as I can tell, you haven't replied to him until now :P

@SimplyBeautifulArt Jack obviously knew I was addressing him; he didn't reply to me to clarify; he went directly to meta,math.se to ask about such voting, and to make everything even more transparent to all. In any case, read transcripts more carefully. On the otherhand, if you feel it's appropriate to downvote & vote to close and delete as many as 14 of one user's post in a relatively short period of time (5 hours,at most), well then I can't support that.

@amWhy but if you don't ping him, he might not have known you had addressed him. He probably doesn't use chat very often.

@amWhy I don't know. If I had started a downvoting and deletion of so many posts from one user myself, I would've made a meta post on the subject, regardless of whether or not someone had mentioned it in chat

@SimplyBeautifulArt Well, either way, I'm glad he did post on meta; I'm not out to take "credit" for anything; I'd like to think it was his conscientiousness. I was simply worried that I may have upset him.

Some of us users at MSE actually do care about others feelings.

Hm, I don't know @Jack very well on the main site, but he doesn't seem to be an easily upset-able type.

@SimplyBeautifulArt Oh, pardon my use of the word "upset": "I was simply concerned that I may have been too direct, or that I might have come across as being demeaning, or underestimating of his concerns and values, or in any way, offending, misinterpreting, hurting. I'm a reflective person, and I suspect Jack is too. Anyway, I've know for awhile that you aren't always terribly concerned about what you say and how you say it when addressing others.

@SimplyBeautifulArt I could care less (and in any case, I never pinged him) in this discussion. I could not edit to include a ping to him on the earlier comment which still exists. If he get's pinged in trash, that will be on you. The bottom line, is, that Jack is concerned enough for whatever reason, to ask about the voting/deletions, etc. to post on meta.

I responded to Jack there below his post there (Meta), and so my earlier message is rather obsolete. I simply informed you because you had pinged or other users, including me, with a link to the meta post.
