@Dennis Can you please pull Brachylog?

@Dennis any chance we could get Braingolf on TIO at some point? It's a plain Python3 interpreter

@Dennis Would it be possible to have color output, like when I run ls locally files, directories, symlinks have different colors

@Fatalize Done.
@Mayube I'll take a look.
@Phoenix That would require implementing a terminal emulator, but yes, it's possible. Note that ls's output still wouldn't be colored though, as it disables coloring if piped to something or run from a script.

Huh. How does a process know if it's being used like that?

@Phoenix By checking if the STDOUT file descriptor is a tty. man7.org/linux/man-pages/man3/isatty.3.html

@Dennis Please pull shortC

@MDXF Pulled and compiled.

@Dennis Thanks!

@Dennis Could surface be added to TIO? I had a lot of trouble running from my computer. I wasn't able to compile from source and instead had to use wine to run the precompiled exe file.

@WheatWizard And also BlitzMax, I guess?

Well you don't have to have Blitzmax to run surface
I never got Blitzmax to work on my computer

Don't you need Blitzmax to compile it from source
Since the source is in Blitzmax

There is a precompiled version available
but its an exe format

TIO doesn't have Wine
And it won't have Wine for a while

10:31 PM
Ok then rip

Which I suppose means dennis would have to get BlitzMax to work on TIO.

Does it need wine or mono?

It needs either Wine or BlitzMax

I couldn't get Blitzmax to work on my pc, so I use wine

10:33 PM
@Dennis BlitzMax is a language that transpiles to C++ (we think), and that's what the source is in.

@Phoenix It does not

Ok, at least we got that far with figuring out how it works >_>

Accoring to their website it is compiled into assembler

10/10 website btw
Not confusing at all.

There are installation instructions for Fedora 4. Considering TIO uses Fedora 25, I'm not optimistic.

10:36 PM
I can write a new Surface interpreter in a more standard language if this is too hard

@Dennis Even if it's old, the executable should still work, right? The only times I've seen programs distributed seperatly for different distros was if it was for different package managers.

I have a working version on my computer so I can probably port it using the specs in combination with testing the existing interpreter

@Phoenix You need compatible versions of all libraries the executable uses

11:02 PM
Hmm, yeah doesn't seem to work for me on Ubuntu.

Ok I'll try to write a alternative version of the interpreter.

@WheatWizard You should make the the instruction space settable from args instead of fixed at 32x16

@Phoenix Yeah.
