After all, coding is very much like throwing a D20.
@CalvT Just did. Both Ctrl+R and reboot the browser.

Do you use other chat related userscripts?

No. Which one can I try?

@JoErNanO Ferrybig would of been asking in case they where conflicting with FIRE

^

All I have is autoreview comments. And on Chrome I have only FIRE.

1:03 PM
So to get it clear, you aren't seeing that flame icon?

Maybe I need to wait for a new report to come in?
Yes I can't see the fire icon.

@JoErNanO No, FIRE loads onto all visible reports

Did you enable the script for chat.stackexchange?

@JoErNanO autoreviewcomments?

@Cerbrus What about it? It's running on firefox but not on Chromium. Can't see the icon on either.

@Cerbrus autoreviewcomments tries to load in chat, as it's include/exclude isn't done properly

@JoErNanO: Does that error point to a specific line?

1:06 PM
@Cerbrus Yes, to this line:
StackExchange.ready(function () {
According to @CalvT we all see that error and it has no effect.

I also have the autoreviewcomments error in my console, but Fire is working for me

@JoErNanO That's not FIRE

I also have the autoreviewcomments error in my console, but Fire is working for me

(That code is not in fire)

@Cerbrus Yup it's autoreview comments.

1:08 PM
So, maybe that script broke the userscript plugin?
Can you change the order the scripts are loaded? Make FIRE load first?
Or disable it, as a test?

I just disabled it. No luck

Any other errors?

Use of getPreventDefault() is deprecated. Use defaultPrevented instead.

@JoErNanO I don't use getPreventDefault in FIRE code...

oops

If you disable all other userscripts, does FIRE work then?

I sometimes have a problem that causes all my SE chat userscripts to fail loading, including Fire, but for me it's fixed by restarting chrome, or sometimes by reloading

1:14 PM
@Cerbrus I have no other userscripts. And as of now I am sure I have all the fonts isntalled to see color emojis.

@JoErNanO what link did you use to install FIRE?

Properly strange

Innit.
Could be my browser?

But you're having it in both browsers right?

1:24 PM
Firefox ESR 45.9.0
Yeah but being on debian my browsers are non-standard. :)
Neither works though.

I have honestly no clue

It's basically as if FIRE isn't even trying to run

@JoErNanO, can you check if fire exists in the console?

You could try other userscripts, to see if they work. Spamtracker, AIM, and SDS are 3 scripts that also work in the charcoal chat

@Cerbrus How do I go about doing that?
@Ferrybig SDS is the two green dots next to Charcoal HQ?

1:28 PM
Just enter fire in the console.

That's not right

@JoErNanO Yes, that is SDS indeed, so that one seems to be working

Sorry to be blunt, but your browser sucks.

I could've bet a million zytlons on that.

1:41 PM
I'm guessing it's the const that confuses it
let test = {foo : 1, bar: 2}
for (let key in test) {
  console.log(key)
}
try that, please?

foo bar
works

Heh, yea...
Your browser isn't properly scoping the key variable
const can't be re-defined, so that's probably why it's breaking.

OK so why does it not work on Chromium?

How does [\\][$]pi[$]\Wis\Wrational work?
Especially since it doesn't seem to match anything on MS.

@CalvT Look at the question. The format is the same "blablabla link-to-website blablabla"

I did. Thing is we are coming from two different directions here. I always try and assume good faith. Feel free to flag if you want, I'm not stopping you.

@CalvT :) I spend so much time dealing with targeted semi-hidden spam on Travel that I might be biased. I did not flag.
And did not tell smokey anything.
Since I am not sure.
Oh and I was not trying to attack you personally.
Just making sure. :)

Dw I get that :)

Ok. It's hard to convey tone via text especially for non native speakers.

There's also the side that I have to try and guess what way mods are going to look at my flag, which you obviously don't have to worry about (on Travel that is)

@CalvT What I used to do pre-mod was to flag for mod attention and give a detailed explanation, when unsure as to whether a post was spam or not.
Also I'm only a mod on Travel, so I do pretty much the same everywhere else.

There is the side that if a smokey report doesn't get any feedback for awhile, it gets posted to the Tavern, where a bunch of mods see it and deal with it
