@Cerbrus What did you just change in FIRE? Is there a changelog (other than looking through the revisions)?

Reported that in a new issue
Hm, no changelog.
@DavidPostill I've added a load of documentation in the js. So no functional changes.

@Cerbrus Thanks.

@Mithrandir Thanks, I think ...

There are only a couple of acceptable candidates.
like, 2 or 3.
So you're at least in the top 3, David :D

@DavidPostill going straight to election right? No primaries

@CalvT aye

@CalvT Unless there a 3 more candidates before voting starts.

@Mithrandir People tend to vote by whatever metric is presented to them first. And David will have a perfect moderator score.

@Wrzlprmft I see 39/40 but still the best out of the current candidates by these metrics

@tripleee The missing badge is Constituent, so it will be 40/40 as soon as he voted.
Hence will have and not has.

@Burgi Yeah, my missing point is for not voting for a candidate in a SU election and the last one was before my time :)
@Andy @Magisch I will keep a close eye on the edit queue ;P

@DavidPostill I'll join in too - my goal: get 200 on every site. Currently at: 12/166. :P
@DavidPostill if the CMs think you're not running seriously, they might remove your nomination.

Has to be pretty blatant for that to happen

There was a "Make the workplace great again" candidate that was allowed to run

2:23 PM
@Mithrandir What? My nomination is serious. I'm referring to other people.

@DavidPostill I know
I was talking about them

Ah. Sorry for the confusion.

@Magisch As they should have been

@Undo sure, but I was supporting your point that it has to be pretty blatant for a CM to remove nominations

@Undo @ArtOfCode Btw, if you're curious, since we were talking about conflicts the other day, there are a few cases of the same post existing in the db but having different end results, e.g. metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/1776 (fp) and metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/1780 (tp). There's 58 posts (looking at SO only) that appear more than once in the db with conflicting results. Some are vandalism coincidentally done to posts that were spammy looking to begin with.
Doesn't really mean much (I don't think) but just thought it was interesting.

@JasonC when the db record was created or last updated

4:13 PM
@ArtOfCode Ok, thanks. What's the deal with some of the update_at's being way later (up to a year) than the created_at's?

@JasonC manual edits, probably

@quartata Yes it is. Usernames and website urls are, generally, really short.

Or edits caused by migrations, possibly

@ArtOfCode Most probably this

Ah ok. It'd be db edits, I guess. The late update_at's don't seem to match any post edits.

4:16 PM
Feedback also edits the post record

Oh you mean MS migrations
There are not enough words in the world.

Yes, like caching deletion timings on the post.
basically it's useless for anything you'd be doing

Yeah I was thinking SE post migrations.

Undo / Art: I'm experimenting a bit with userscripts, to copy the script's metadata to a separate file. This allows us to reduce the load on the download url. I was wondering if there'd be a simple way to automatically generate a scriptname.meta.js for all scriptname.user.js files in the project?
Hm, or make atom do that on save...

4:48 PM
@angussidney Not too bad (quick calculations without looking too deeply, limited to the sede/ms overlapping date range):
ms tp count:     10970
ms fp count:     4013
ms naa count:    1058
ms tp+naa:       12028
sede spam count: 11466
sede off count:  2598
sede spam+off:   14064
tp,naa/spam,off: 0.8552332
For SO.

"off" = off topic?
oh, offensive

offensive
There's a few things that skew that (like SO posts deleted by moderators but not flagged in the votes table, and also the 58 conflicting dupe entries in the ms db that I mentioned above + any other non-conflicting dupes, which I could account for here but don't) but that's the best I got right now.
I'd put 85.5% as a safe upper bound though.
I'll try Ask Different and Drupal later.

5:16 PM
It is strange, though. It seems I've only got 8429 posts common to both ms and sede, and 12725 posts that are only in one or the other. This warrants a closer look.

@ArtOfCode Is there any way to get a detailed reason list for many posts at once (e.g. a combination of /api/posts/* and /api/post/:id/reasons)? I'm trying to get separate reason IDs for all the posts in a site without doing one additional API query per post to get the details.

What's up with the API link in the side bar? It leads to charcoal-se.org/ms/API-Documentation which leads to a nice empty page of uselessness

@Andy I see no problems there ...

@Andy Ditto :)
https://git.io/vyDZK expands to https://charcoal-se.org/ms/API-Documentation instead of https://github.com/Charcoal-SE/metasmoke/wiki/API-Documentation

@angussidney So, if you (or anybody) is interested, I haven't pulled any real additional stats or anything but docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/… contains the raw data of the SEDE query matched with the MS data for Stack Overflow. It's essentially SEDE full outer joined with MS on the SE post id.
There's some notes on some of the column headers with explanations, just mouseover them.

@DavidPostill That live monitor is only for the primaries. You can't see votes during the election portion until it's over.
Oh, hey. I have 150 on SU now. \o/

@Undo Oh did you end up making a live monitor.

@JanDvorak that'd catch names like C. S. Lewis

I've got one too if there's primaries I could fire it up. I've got a questionnaire reorganizer too, I could probably dust it off.

7:06 PM
@JasonC I think it's the same one he ran for the SO election

Psh, I was monitoring votes before it was cool. Then all you biters copied me. But I'm the best. I'M THE BEST. cry -> eats chocolate -> smiles again.

@JanDvorak I considered enabling mostly dots for usernames but I can't think of a time where I've seen that many dots in a spam username
Plus that would catch @M.A.R.

Appropriateness of usernames is pretty loose, you probably won't find much meaning in looking for ones with lots of dots or whatever.
Plus you don't want to turn findspam.py into the Area 51 of filters...

@Undo @ArtOfCode I was thinking we should set up Coveralls so that we can see how our tests are doing
I don't know a whole lot about PyTest but Coverage.py works with anything pretty much

I can already tell you "terrible", but that's because it's hard to test most of what we do

We use terrible as a baseline and improve from there ...

True. We can probably disable coverage on certain files
gitmanager for instance
Or bodyfetcher
Really we only care about coverage on findspam and chatcommunicate

@quartata Yeah, it'd be good data to have if you're willing to implement it.
