isn't \w at beginning of keyword implied already?

1:33 PM
IIRC, no - the regex containing bad_keywords.txt does use word boundaries.

mmm wait, I was thinking \W
so you want to match tcyberhack@umail.com?

I tried to match everything here.

@Glorfindel Why not just "Cyberhack"? catches 17 tp/0 fp

ohhh it's the markdown formatting playing tricks with us
I see italics in weird places where you have literal *

@tripleee ah, yes. I double-checked the commit, it's working as intended.
@DavidPostill that could have legitimate uses.

1:36 PM
@Glorfindel Really?

for clarity this is Auto blacklist of \w*cyberhack\w*@\w*mail\.com by Glorfindel

Well, 'legitimate' - I mean non-spam, especially on sites like Security SE, or Apple/Android/etc.

stackexchange.com/search?q=cyberhack looks like it doesn't contain any real hits
the Google magic tries to DWIM but as far as I could tell, if you click "did you really mean what you really mean" you get 0 hits

Ah, well, the new filter catches all these posts anyway.

@Glorfindel cyberhack results in no matches so everything with this word has been deleted as spam.

1:48 PM
@Glor on Chem we don't use Mathjax in question titles.

@ArtOfCode: I've added a site logo to the userscript. However, at this moment I'm parsing the site name from the post link, which is pretty sub-optimal. Could the site name be added to the websocket data?

I had to turn down the enjoyment of rejecting your edit because you removed the 'thanks' :(

@M.A.R. why?
or rather: why not?

@Glorfindel 1. Breaks search 2. Breaks URL 3. I forgot

@Cerbrus we don't have API site parameters, if that's what you need
and that is what you need for sstatic

1:50 PM
That's exactly the data I'd need :P

8
Q: Is MathJax in titles a problem? And why?

BrianI think the title is self explanatory. I certainly think it looks nicer. I thought it still worked for searches too, as long as it's something $\ce{H2SO4}$ or $\ce{K}_i$ - certainly does on my browser.

The site url parsed from the link is reliable enough. But a capitalized stackoverflow is a little "meh"

@M.A.R. OK, makes sense, but I'm curious why this isn't enforced on other sites like Math.SE.

@Glorfindel That site actually has bigger problems than MathJax in titles

@Cerbrus Can you reduce the blur a bit? I keep wanting to clean my glasses :/
Why do you need blur at all?

Don't need it, but it's fancy :P
It's set to 2 pg. Can you try 1px, @DavidPostill?

@Cerbrus How do I do that?

(It's on .ai-blur which gets applied to the #container element on the page)
@DavidPostill: Now I'm assuming you're familiar with web development... Which you may not be :P
@DavidPostill: Ctrl-Refresh. I reduced the blur a bit.

@SmokeDetector <shrug> I don't see any difference.

2:03 PM
That's a shame... For me, 1px blur makes it possible to read behind the modal again, which wasn't possible with 2px...

@Cerbrus It's barely readable. I vote for no blur at all. It's pointless.
I don't like fancy when it's pointless.

I'll see if I can make it optional. If not, out with it <TODO>
I've gotta look into saving user settings any way, for API keys 'n stuff

I vote to keep blur

Yes

Great. I'll have a look at that later... Gotta go home :P

4:00 PM
@Cerb you may already know, but: your app's API key is okay to be shared - worst case, someone makes a GET request pretending to be the app, which isn't very threatening. API tokens are per-user, per-app, and are sensitive - they should never be public, because they allow user impersonation, which is... bad.

The Userscript repository is littered with (app) API keys.

@YvetteColomb Wait, is that what the NAA icon is? It shows up as a box on every device I've tried.
So I just assumed it was a box
In that case I'm inclined to agree.... I think a garbage can would be much better

@quartata Really? So you can't see it on metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/post/59301?

Nope. Two boxes.
Emojis are only really consistently supported on phones, if that's what it is.
I think the fact that it's a new Unicode char alone is reason enough not to use it

Huh. Maybe I'm spoiled on macOS stuff

4:15 PM
@Undo we have a saying on the Ubuntu lists:
Emojis have a place. Emojis are great in social media, and texting. In Emails and Wiki pages and actually decent websites: not so much.
I have a plugin in Ubuntu Chrome that expands the emojis to wingdings.

hahahaha

but emojis themselves aren't widely supported
so are discouraged.

Actually checkmark-X-box isn't too bad
That's why I thought it was deliberate

Currently it's rather slow (~10 second response time) because the actual classification isn't in Python so it has to spawn a subprocess each time, which in turn has to read a big Glove file. (The actual net only takes a couple milliseconds)
I'm going to try to make it so the classifier is always running and communication between CE and it occurs via a Unix FIFO or socket

This is one of the weakness of the 8-ball: the answer is so short and gives so little away it assumes it's spam just because the majority of super short answers with links are.
