Q: Is there a way to improve my grammar without so much cost?

Book StrikerI'm definitely poor at English and I always have grammatical errors. After posting a question about what apps can I use to start writing my stories, I searched in this site if how can I improve my grammar, and I came across to this link. English is not really my first language, but I'm desperat...

^ This question was migrated to ELL but rejected and sent back. Anyone have any thoughts how we could make this more on-topic for Writers? Grammar isn't on-topic here but tools are. Maybe asking how to find a grammar checker that'll help educate as well as fix grammar? A course of study?
Right now it's hard to answer definitively. Maybe there's a way we can make it more relevant to writing and reopen it here?

...what we call literature is after the fact, and it's difficult to say what a writer, a witness, should do. All I ‘mow now is what I'm trying to be a witness to, and at this moment, in the life of a living man, it is not literature but a question of trying to translate what you see. Trying to move it from one place to another. Afterward, it may be literature. While you're living, dealing with other human beings, people whom you love, all you can do is have passion. The bottom line is this: You write in order to change the world, knowing perfectly well that you probably can't, but also know

@MonicaCellio The question as edited is better, but answers would still be guesses, shots in the dark. I'd love to help this user, I really would, but the question still feels a like it's just asking for people to throw ideas at the wall.

Answering questions about beta-reading always make me miss Critters :(
