@D-side could you explain why the word "fury" is pronounced as [fjʊri] (фьюри) but "bury" as [ˈberi] (бэри) ?

@АлексейШиманский even words with the same (!) spelling may have different pronounciations.
A popular example is "read", as a verb, in present and past forms.
"рид" vs. "ред".
As for this particular case, fury/bury -- no idea.

This pronounciation is inherent to these particular roots.

So it probably just has to be memorized.
[jʊ] looks more typical though
