It just struck me: Niv-Mizzet, Dracogenius would work well in an EDH Temur control deck, wouldn't it? I get to draw cards and burn up creatures.

Technically, with any one activation, you get to draw a card or burn a creature

Also, I just asked my weird legend rule question on the judge IRC channel, and their conclusion is that the situation is ambiguous, though they were leaning towards either "everything survives" or "the bear dies"

@murgatroid99 Oh, I misread. Damage to a player = draw a card, not damage to a creature.

It's a 4/4

I guess that's a fair thing to consider, though. It's not completely awful as a french vanilla creature, and it demands removal so strongly that it might actually be worth it in some decks
