Can any one clarify me on which text should be used while posting a question or answer. While we are writing something, we have different texts like bold, italic, preformatted text, block quote. Which one should be used for which reason?
@AnkitSharma @KeshavSrinivasan @TheDestroyer @Tezz @Pandya @SwiftPushkar Look above ^^^

@SreeCharan Bold for highlighting
@SreeCharan block quote for quoting text
@SreeCharan preformatted text is usually used for writing/quoting programming codes. You can use it as <pre> command for preserving formatting.

@SreeCharan I don't know much.. I use one * enclosing for italicizing... ** enclosing for bolding.... *** enclosing for bold italicizing...

@SreeCharan So, pre formatted is useful when you want exactly same formate (with spacing, newline etc) to that of you may use in text editor like wordpad.
@SreeCharan any query?

@Pandya What about italics?

4:58 AM
@SreeCharan I think there is no specific uses of italics, you can get the idea when italics are used by visitng posts in which they're used.

@Pandya I use italics to type words of indian languages in english.

@SreeCharan Well, I do not know much about it, I'll give you a related reference when I find.
^^ use of italics! Haha

@Pandya धन्यवाद
Ha Ha...

@SreeCharan meanwhile you may search on web to get some idea:
In typography, italic type is a cursive font based on a stylized form of calligraphic handwriting. Owing to the influence from calligraphy, such fonts normally slant slightly to the right. Italics are a way to emphasise key points in a printed text, or when quoting a speaker a way to show which words they stressed. One manual of English usage described italics as "the print equivalent of underlining". The name comes from the fact that calligraphy-inspired typefaces were first designed in Italy, to replace documents traditionally written in a handwriting style called chancery hand. Ludovico Arrighi...
etc..

@Pandya OK got it. You have done so much effort.

@SreeCharan Btw, note that over use of highlighting should be avoided.

Q: Need to know the puranic reference where says " Krishna is a tiny part of Lord Vishnu" . anyone care to answer?

Avijit Pratap RoyI know Krishna is nothing but an avatar of Lord Vishnu. But Krishna is worshiped as the supreme godhead of Hinduism which is absolutely wrong.
