I upgraded my newer NUC from 2x1 to 2x4, moved the 2x1 to my old NUC (kinda - its the third one of the model I've owned) and moved the 4gb from that to my x220.
Modern SSD controllers are smart enough that overprovisioning is not typically necessary for everyday use. However, there are still situations, primarily in datacenter environments, where overprovisioning is recommended. To understand why overprovisioning can be useful, it is necessary to underst...
I have recently purchased a server-grade computer, which works great, however, it is now audible even through a closed door.
It is in a separate room, so I am thinking what are the best ways of sound-proofing it.
Does covering the walls with a sound-absorbing foam make sense?
My plan is to co...
A Dell PowerEdge 2950 generates about 70-72 dBA. Not only is this loud, if you're in a quiet neighborhood or an apartment building, but it's loud enough that you can conceivably get a noise complaint filed against you.

Some rackmounts approach 80 dBA. Even if you sleep far from the server, expect to get a noise violation ticket if you're running it in an apartment and don't spend some time soundproofing it.
Even if you put it in another room and block out some of the noise within your unit, someone else in the building might very well be affected badly by noise.
And since my oppinion of Java is not all that high, did you try with an IPv6 address of a IP v4 address on non a.b.c.d. dotted format (e.g. just as a single decimal number)
Since 10 came up and mandatory profiles are just not doable 100% I got lucky creating one from sysprep
It's functioning well but I couldn't customize it cause some customization requires restarts and you cannot edit the MAN file or it will be corrupted
So I'm tweaking It through GPO now every time a user logs in
There's only Microsoft edge pinned in start menu I made a Ps script to unpin it ... and I deployed it via gpo on the users login but it's not deploying / working when the users logs in
It's driving me nuts .. the policy execution is unrestricted and I've tried it on user level and computer leve
Still no luck in running when a user logs in ... any suggestions ? Could it be the UAC stopping it from running ?
From the gpmc > scripts > new scripts ( I already added it to sysvol folder ) I browsed for it selected it and added it from powershell tab and chose to run on user logon
> A mandatory user profile is a roaming user profile that has been pre-configured by an administrator to specify settings for users. Settings commonly defined in a mandatory profile include (but are not limited to): icons that appear on the desktop, desktop backgrounds, user preferences in Control Panel, printer selections, and more. Configuration changes made during a user's session that are normally saved to a roaming user profile are not saved when a mandatory user profile is assigned.
Well I work in a university and there are lots of students
If everyone of them came to me telling me he messed up Microsoft word I wouldn't go back home for dinner .. simply log out login
And yes login time on w10 is Kinda slow idk why .. first login after restart or boot from shutdown takes 2 min approx next login after takes 35 to 45 seconds

Also, to get the unlock code, you have to provide your IMEI and SSN-equivalent to Motorola, so they have the phone on a global database shared to repair centers (you lose the warranty)
@WHATEVERDave No, not a modded firmware, I just unlocked the bootloader properly according to the official Motorola procedures, then installed TeamWin recovery and rooted the retail stock rom.
@Bob It probably also applies to Brazil, but probably it'd take me more time to get the official statement than the duration of the whole warranty, if experience serves me right.
@WHATEVERDave No, I mean, I have the original, unmodded ROM on the phone. I just unlocked the bootloader and installed a new recovery (which I have the original and can re-apply).
