Counting Single Transferable Votes

The single transferable vote (STV) is a voting system based on proportional representation and preferential voting. Under STV, an elector's vote is initially allocated to his or her most-preferred candidate. @JasonSalaz True - I think the Meek is more about splitting the overages more fractionally. Winning candidates get their share of the redistributions from the eliminated candidates which then re-triggers a quota adjustment and further redistribution (which when we only can vote three choices, makes Meek or not a moot point quickly in practice)

@Daniel Yes there is founder status, even if the site doesn't grant it. Many, many people have seen and benefitted from the work all the moderators have done. Kyle does stand out as someone really devoting time and energy to keep this place in top shape.

Q: What started the whole "i" movement?

What started the whole "i" movement and what does the "i" stand for when talking about iPods, iPhones, iMacs, iPads and iCarly (woops!). I think it started with the iMac that came out in the late 90's, but still have always wondered where the "i" came from in terms of the product. Thanks.

Town Hall isn't a mandatory thing. It's unfortunate that it's not more accessible, but it's not at all mandatory. I seem to recall we had the same timing issue last year with Diago.

@GrahamPerrin That's definitively a matter of personal taste. I prefer the output to be cleary understandable, so I prefer displaying enabled/disabled. And as enabled is probably the standard case, I would mark the disabled ones special and just leave the enabled extensions without additional comment. But I'm fine with all of it, it should solve your problem after all
