Q: What is a comprehensive list of all the answers to the codes in The Imitation Game?

HashimI'm not sure whether there's a Stack site that this question would be better placed in (Puzzling, maybe?), so I'll ask it here for now. I'm partway through watching The Imitation Game, the biopic about Alan Turing, and I noticed the movie has bits of amateur cryptography scattered throughout it,...

@AnkitSharma Would it be required to watch Suicide Squad in order to watch Justice League, or BvS will be sufficient?

@AJ Justice league not came yet so can't confirm
BUt wonder woman will come before it

Bruce Wayne will be gathering others as hinted in BvS. So Suicide Squad has any mention of it?

yes
in end credit
Even flash and batman have cameo in Suicide squad

A J
8:07 AM
only cameo. hmm. So not that important.

But I am not sure if justice league might cross reference it or not
Anyway I liked suicide squad better then BvS for me

A J
Justice League would serve as a sequel to BvS. That monster mentioned by Lex Luthor will be in JL.

yup
steppenwolf

A: Who was the horned creature Luthor was seen with in Batman V Superman: Ultimate Edition?

Herr RauI saw this on German television, dubbed, probably mid to late 1980s. @AnkitSharma oh, the snapshot here; that Oliver is watching those stuffs - the suits.

3:18 PM
@AnkitSharma Why didn't he turn? He just died. Fits to me. "Why didn't he turn and just die" doesn't work, since it would imply that he "didn't die".

@MAFIA36790 Ohh that thumbnail, yeah maybe

user116211
@AnkitSharma Even the LoT trailer contained prev season scenes.

@NapoleonWilson former sound good to me but the existing one sound bit weird to me
@MAFIA36790 Yeah they do but not arrow trailer

@AnkitSharma "Why he didn't turned and just died?" is entirely wrong, since it has wrong word order. The order for a question is different from that of a statement. "He didn't turn", but "why didn't he turn" or "why did he not turn" for questions.

@NapoleonWilson but two he ok in ur final edit?
I am not expert just clearing
@MAFIA36790 LoT shooting might happen way later the other show, so they just made that unprepared trailer

user116211
3:23 PM
@AnkitSharma It's just that it's not interrogative and since you mention did, you wouldn't have needed to make that in the past tense. But I don't care about grammar in any way. there are other editors for that ;)

And "turned" is wrong, too, since you already have "didn't" in there. That's actually an important lesson, since I notice that very often: When you have a construction of the form "he did say something", like in a question, the actual important verb ("say") is not conjugated but left in infinite. You don't say "he did said something", because the tense is already reflected in the "did". This holds for all kinds of auxiliary verb constructions.

user116211
@NapoleonWilson I'm faster; Barry Allen has his tachyon generator!!!

@AnkitSharma What do you mean?

@AnkitSharma hmm.

user116211
3:26 PM
@AnkitSharma die

@AnkitSharma No.
Ha, sorry, that was just a typo. I completely overread that.

user116211
@AnkitSharma didn't must be before the subject to make it interrogative.

ohhh, that was my point from start but anyways thanks for fixing

user116211
@AnkitSharma Is this Why didn't he turn and (why didn't he) just die? or Why didn't he turn and (then) just die?

@MAFIA36790 No, "Why didn't he turn? Why did he just die?"

user116211
3:31 PM
@NapoleonWilson Is not the second did implied by the first one?

@MAFIA36790 The second is a did and not a didn't. That's why we have to use "died" instead of "die", as the die does not belong to the didn't.

user116211
@NapoleonWilson not is just an adverb meant for the first part; did is implied, imo, for both the verbs.

That seems highly awkward, though.

user116211
@NapoleonWilson hmmm.

"Why didn't he turn and just die?" or "Why did he not turn and just die" sounds like "Why did he not (turn and die)?"

user116211
3:36 PM
@NapoleonWilson I don't think the second one implies that; but sure, it's my opinion only.

user116211
@NapoleonWilson As that of the first one, that's why I asked that above in the first place.

user116211
@AnkitSharma read that.

user116211
@AnkitSharma Amazing and quite legitimate too.

user116211
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are described in the last book of the New Testament of the Bible, called the Book of Revelation of Jesus Christ to John the Apostle, at 6:1-8. The chapter tells of a book or scroll in God's right hand that is sealed with seven seals. The Lamb of God opens the first four of the seven seals, which summons four beings that ride out on white, red, black, and pale horses. Though theologians and popular culture differ on the first horseman, the four riders are often seen as symbolizing Conquest or Pestilence (and less frequently, the Christ or the Antichrist), War...

they usually get pretty descriptive IDs coz they come from readers and readers on average know you can't get much help with crappy 1-liner descriptions
surely there are cases where you can say 2-3 words to uniquely identify a work but then it shows how much research the OP did coz they could've just googled it and found the answer

But ID is not worth the trouble

I just saw these 2 and wanted to share :p
