@JorgeCastro bugs that are present on a version higher package than the ones present in the repos should be reported to the application's site and not launchpad correct?
As far as I know, there isn't such thing as a "Creative Suite". What you have instead are several alternatives to the different programs in Adobe's suite:
Gimp vs Photoshop
Inkscape vs Illustrator
Tons of editors and IDE's (such as Netbeans, Eclipse or Bluefish) instead of DreamWeaver
etc

This can be done using an app called Arista Transcoder:
Firstly install sudo apt-get install arista
Then launch it using Dash > Arista
You will see this window:
Click create conversion and select DVD Player- PAL DVD
Select the source and output
Click Create and use the file on Windows 7
Jorge Castro recently commented on one of my questions that it should be filed as a bug instead. And I've seen here that the general view is that questions about bugs should be considered off-topic here and handled on Launchpad instead.
My question is whether that stance should be modified somew...
The first one is, imo the best place to find and get patches is on Launchpad. If you have a bug that needs to be patched it need to be on LP. The second one is on-topic
but what if the user legitimately does not know about LP, does a bad search of the site and comes up with no answers.. I don't think asking where to find the patch if one exists should be off topic (albeit likely a dupe)
@MarcoCeppi I only am pushing this because I cannot find "Where do I go to find patches for Ubuntu" type question in the pool. :P so i can understand how a new ubuntu user will be confused by this.
Bounty offered: Dell inspiron 1545 wired and wireless do not work http://askubuntu.com/questions/99775/dell-inspiron-1545-wired-and-wireless-do-not-work #wireless
@MarcoCeppi so to sum up basically I should create a "Where do I go to find patches for Ubuntu" question and this will not be an issue anymore (hopefully?)
Thanks for the link - but almost the first thing I see there is you need to press Alt-F2. erm, what if you've configured that shortcut as the run command...
I know I'm a tad dense, but the Ubuntu Wiki states "You should not file a bug if you are: Requesting support..."
I thought I was doing the right thing in a question I asked recently but people pointed out that this should be a bug report. Sorry but for me it's a bit confusing to see where the fine line is
@StefanoPalazzo you people will be "file as a bug" happy. I know it! What if that is not a bug but a configuration error! huh?! what then smarty pants!
